CAG and Rwanda’s RCI Conduct Workshop on Protocol for International Engagements in Government
Conducted virtually and held over four sessions, the workshop was designed to help the RCI leaders sharpen their skills in protocol, especially as it pertains to engagements with governments in international and cross-cultural settings. These are important competencies required by RCI leaders and staff, to fulfil their mandate of promoting innovative initiatives through international cooperation.
The sessions were facilitated by CIG’s expert, Mr Yip Yee Thai, formerly working with the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). Through a mixture of lectures, discussions and interactive learning, the participants were able to understand the principles and nuances of protocol, how protocol is applied internationally and locally, and gained practical skills which can be applied in their work.
