CIG Refreshes its Board with Former Senior Government Leaders from Botswana, Singapore and Zambia

Ngosa has served in various senior positions in the Zambian public service, such as Presidential Advisor in the Office of the President, and Permanent Secretary in various Ministries including Labour and Social Security, Information and Broadcasting Services, and the Management Development Division in the Cabinet Office, on top of other key appointments. At the international level, he has served on the Governing Board of the International Labour Organisation, and has chaired high level meetings of the Southern African Development Community Committee of Experts on Employment and Labour, and as Board Chair for the Southern African Social Protection Experts Network. Ngosa is currently a Fellow and Governance Expert with the Institute of Directors in Zambia, and a Lecturer in the School of Business at the University of Lusaka.
Alongside Ngosa, Mr Lam Yi Young and Dr Sanji Mmasenono Monageng have also been appointed to CIG’s Board as non-executive Members.
Yi Young served in the Singapore Public Service for over 20 years, including in senior leadership positions such as Deputy Secretary (Industry) in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Deputy Secretary (Policy) in the Ministry of Education, and Chief Executive of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. He was also formerly Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Business Federation, the apex business chamber championing the interests of the Singapore business community in the areas of trade, investment and industrial relations. He is currently a Board Member of the Community Foundation of Singapore, Community Chest Singapore, and the SIM People Development Fund.
Sanji was formerly a Judge of the International Criminal Court, having served in the Pre-Trial and Appeals Division, and as the Court’s First Vice-President. She began her judicial career as a Magistrate in the Courts of the Republic of Botswana, and founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Law Society of Botswana. She has also served as an expert High Court Judge in the Gambia and Eswatini, and chaired the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. She currently serves as Botswana’s High Commissioner to South Africa.
Ngosa, Yi Young and Sanji will join Dr Gyanendra Badgaiyan, Mr Tim Hanstad, and Mr Wu Wei Neng, who will continue serving as Directors on CIG’s Board.
