MANILA (PHILIPPINES), 23 September 2022— The Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) has concluded its visit to the Philippines from 20 – 23 September 2022. The delegation was led by Mr Kenneth Sim, Dean of the Chandler Academy of Governance and Deputy Executive Director of CIG.
During the visit, CIG met with representatives from the Philippines Civil Service Commission, the Development Academy of the Philippines, and the Local Government Academy. CIG also met with our partners from the Eastern Regional Organisation for Public Administration (EROPA).
Through these meetings, CIG was able to better understand the context and needs of the various government agencies, and discussed potential areas of collaboration in public sector capability development. Specific areas included the co-design and co-delivery of training programmes, as well as research and knowledge sharing.
This visit builds upon CIG’s past and ongoing collaborations with government agencies in the Philippines, such as the Department of Health and the National Economic Development Agency. Through this, CIG hopes to deepen and broaden our collaborations with the Philippine government.
