Chandler Academy of Governance conducts Public Sector Finance Programme for MINDEF, Singapore

SINGAPORE, 25 NOVEMBER 2021 — The Chandler Academy of Governance (CAG) conducted the Public Sector Finance Management Programme for the Singapore Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) from 28 to 29 September 2021. The programme was attended by 14 officers from MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces.
Conducted virtually over two days, the programme was designed to help participants gain a richer appreciation of how their roles fit into the broader public sector finance system in Singapore, and the impact of public sector transformation on finance systems in Singapore and abroad.
Highlights of the programme included a session on Singapore’s public sector finance system, and a discussion on public sector transformation and innovation in Singapore. Major global and regional financial trends and their impact on Singapore were also discussed.
The programme was facilitated by experts and former Singapore public servants, including Mr. Lee Kok Fatt, Chairman of the Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG); Mr. Wu Wei Neng, Executive Director of CIG; Mr. Chen Shian Jan, Director of Wellern International; and Mr. Manu Bhaskaran, Director of Centennial Group and CEO of Centennial Asia Advisors.
